Cloyne Cave

Cave

What is recorded here

Cloyne Cave is a hidden cave in County Cork, Ireland. It is not a cave of grand chambers or famous legends. It is a small cave near Cloyne, a town with a round tower and old churches. The cave may have been a shelter, a hiding place, or a child’s adventure. Darkness and damp belong to it. People may have entered it during storms or simply because curiosity pushed them forward. What is certain is that the cave still exists beside a town that has survived famine, trade and time.
The Irish Caves Database records Cloyne Cave at Cloyne Demense in County Cork. This point comes from its public cave register. A cave map point does not by itself grant access: check local conditions and ask the landowner where needed.

The cave register does not grant public access. Check conditions and ask the landowner before entering private land.
