What is recorded here
Clonoghill Cemetery occupies a sloping site between Birr and Crinkill, where tall yew trees stand like silent sentinels among stone markers. Its caretaker’s lodge, built around 1850, features a pointed-arched door, yellow brick surrounds and random coursed limestone walls, all shaped with obvious care. The place remains alive because people still walk its grounds, remember the dead and use the cemetery as an ordinary part of community life.
Clonoghill Cemetery is a cemetery in County Offaly, Ireland.
