Clochan in Duagh is a small stone hut set into the east wall of a rectangular dry-stone enclosure on a broad terrace above Tralee Bay. Its north entrance aligns with the enclosure gateway, while low banks funnelled animals inward and hid the site from the coastal path. Briars and bracken still choke the terrace, but the walls stand tall enough to show where a person once watched the bay, kept livestock close, and disappeared into the green slope.

On rough grazing land, on a broad terrace near the base of a S-facing slope with views over Tralee Bay, hut site (KE036-118----) 18m to NW. Site overgrown with briars and bracken but otherwise in good condition. Present remains consist of a clochan (dims. 2.4m N-S x 2.6m E-W; H 1.5m) set into the E side of a rectangular dry-stone enclosure (dims. 6m N-S x 5m E-W; Wth 0.6m; H 1m). The clochan has a lintelled entrance on its N side (Wth 0.6m X H 0.6m) which faces onto the entrance (Wth 0.5m) of the enclosure. A short distance (L 2.4m) out from the E and N sides of the enclosure is a low bank (H 0.5m) which would have functioned as both protection for the entrance and as a way of funnelling animals into the enclosure. A short distance (L. 5m) to the N is a length of bank (H c.0.7m) which would have both sheltered and hidden the structures from view when approaching from the coastal strip below.
