Clochan in Baile An Lochaigh

A roughly circular structure 3.9m in diameter internally. The corbelled drystone wall is 1.5m wide and stands to a maximum height of 2.2m. The S facing entrance has collapsed and been rebuilt, and there is also evidence of rebuilding of other sections of the wall. Six small niches occur in the inner face of the wall but not all are definitely deliberate features. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage (compiler) 'Corca Dhuibhne.
