Cliff-edge fort in Milleens

In rough pasture, on the NW bank of the Sheen River. A D-shaped area (14.5m NW-SE) abuts the steep eroding linear scarped river bank at SE (L 24m NE-SW). The interior is defined by an inner bank (Wth 6.05m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.7m) and intervening fosse (Wth 1.6m) SW-NE, with an outer bank (Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.8m) evident SW-WNW. A possible entrance is at N, where the fosse is infilled. A second break occurs at W. The uneven surface of the interior is in pasture. A Man-made underground passage (KE102-101002-) is at the centre, next to the eroding scarp of the river bank. A bullaun stone (KE102-101003-) is c. 30m to the NNE and a corn-drying kiln (KE102-101005-) is c. 25m to the NW.
