Cist in Monadrishane

Discovered while digging sewer in 1958; destroyed prior to investigation. According to workmen's accounts, square cist (c. 0.6m x 0.6m) orientation NW-SE; capstone was found 0.52m below surface resting on four uprights (Doody 1986, Cork No. 40; Waddell 1990, 62).
