Explorer Tom That Limerick chimney has had so many former names it could have started its own family tree. It stands there as a landmark, remembering the brewing days when everyone was slightly tipsy by noon. A good place to forget your worries for a bit.

Explorer Tom Saint John’s Hospital would handle a nosey neighbour by locking its pedimented breakfront and pretending it’s asleep. It’s a former convent with a very stern classical look that says 'don’t touch anything.' Stand there long enough and you might feel judged.

Explorer Tom Town or city walls in Limerick Municipal Borough would be the awkward uncle at a wedding, standing in the corner. Those loop holes are for aiming, not just decoration, so don’t stick your face in. Mind the gap between history and reality here.

Explorer Tom Sarsfield Memorial in Limerick would review its visitors as 'adequate' and deduct a star for not tipping their hats properly. The bronze guy looks like he’s about to start a fight with your phone camera. Bring a notebook and write down his angry face.
