A polygonal cist found 'some years before' 1935 which produced cremated bone (possibly of an adult male) and two flint chips. (Price 1935, 325-7; Waddell 1990, 161-2) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). A Neolithic cist tomb, dating to approximately 4000–2500 BCE, used for the burial of cremated remains and associated with early farming communities in Ireland. Its significance lies in providing evidence of funerary practices and material culture from the island's Neolithic period.
