Cist in Dillonsdown

Situated at the NE edge of a small sand ridge in undulating terrain. A bowl and unburnt bones found in 1934 in a 'passage' (presumably a cist) of small boulders possibly under a small cairn. The site is now within a substantial sand quarry. (Waddell 1990, 160; Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 1, 654-6) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
