What is recorded here

Mortuary temples and church ruins scatter the west, yet this site resists easy categorisation. Dense vegetation and high ground hide a short wall section, possibly part of an early ecclesiastical enclosure near Ballinrobe. The church itself has vanished, leaving only a fragment of stone and a suggestion of sacred boundaries. What remains is enough to mark the place, but not enough to explain what stood there or who built it.
