What is recorded here

West Kildare buried its church instead of building a new one. Grass swallowed the walls, graves cut through the floor, and a lone jambstone still stands in the yard like a forgotten door. What remains is small enough to walk across in a breath, yet heavy with every life that stopped being spoken about.
At the N end of a graveyard (KD035-030001-). A rectangular structure (int. 7.7m E-W; 3.5m N-S; ext. 14.35m E-W; 9.3m N-S) is defined by grassed-over collapsed walls, with inner wall facing stones visible intermittently along the S. The interior is disturbed by modern burials. An earthfast jambstone in the graveyard presumably came from the church. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 17 December 2013
