Church in Shronebeha

In field known locally as 'chapel field'. According to Bowman (1934, 229) site of church here in P. Aherne's land; 'it was said that mass was offered up here, in Penal Times' (ibid.). No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
