What is recorded here
A church at Onagh is marked on Petty's Down Survey map (1655-6) with the OS letters. The cross (RO051-023----) at Onagh is marked on the Strafford map of c. 1636 (Simington 1949, Athlone (120)). Perhaps this, or more probably the church at Kilkenny (RO051-009001-) or Bellaneany (RO051-025001-), is what was intended.
