What is recorded here

The Ordnance Survey letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 49) state that an old baptismal font (CL026-003003-) was said to have belonged to a church that formerly stood here. There is no trace of a church at this location and no local knowledge of one.

From the National Monuments Service (Archaeological Survey of Ireland) record CL026-003004

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
