What is recorded here

Mentioned in the Papal Chancery Documents in 1210 and 1260 as 'Kilimelach' and 'Killyinlach' respectively and in the Extents of Irish Monastic Possessions in 1541 as 'Kylhemelagh/Kylehemenagh' (Ó Cearbhaill 2007, 148). According to Power (1908, 26), in Killemly townland there is a 'Cill Eimligh (or Imilligh) - “Church of the Lough Brink.” The site was discovered, with difficulty, by east side of the Cahir-Cashel road'.
