Chipperdingan, New England Bay

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Chipperdingan, New England Bay as Chapel (medieval)(possible), Farmstead (mid 19th Century), Holy Well (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to a medieval holy well, Chipperdingan is traditionally associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Scottish saint known for his healing wells. Locals historically visited the site for water believed to cure skin ailments and ensure safe childbirth.
