Childrens Burial Ground

Children's burial ground

What is recorded here

Refuse choked the grass and hid the stones where children slept, turning a sacred margin into a junk heap. The burial ground waited beneath the waste, small and unenclosed, refusing to be forgotten even when people stopped seeing it.
In undulating grassland. This children's burial ground consists of an unenclosed irregularly shaped area (10m NW-SE; 8.8m NE-SW) within which are several haphazardly placed set stones. On inspection the monument was densely overgrown and was being used as a dump for refuse.
