Children's Burial Ground in County Cork, Ireland, appears on an 1842 map as a trapezoid but shifted to an oval by 1902. The subrectangular earthwork still holds a low scarp and grave markers in its northern half, marking a place where small lives ended and were laid to rest. Its changing shape on paper reminds us that memory itself bends, even when the dead remain steady beneath the soil.

On N-facing slope. Depicted as trapezoidal area, and named 'Children's Burial Ground' on OS 6-inch map (1842); oval-shaped on OS 6-inch map (1902). Subrectangular area (12m E-W; 18m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.9m). Grave markers in N half interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
