Moss and mystery still claim the children of Shanaghmoyle. The rath holds low stones, some upright beneath dense growth, marking babies the church refused to bless. Local tradition preserves what formal history abandoned: the smallest deaths, the most loved, the ones never named in parish books. The earth kept them when human institutions looked away.

In a rath (MA081-025----). According to local tradition, unbaptized babies were buried in the rath. Low moss-covered stones, some of which appear to be set upright, are visible beneath dense overgrowth in the rath interior; these may be gravemarkers.
