Half-hidden in a narrow cleft beneath the Dartry Mountains, a low stone wall and a rising cliff enclose a space barely large enough for a child to stretch out. It is called a children's burial ground, yet no marker breaks the soil to prove the claim. The wall may have been built to keep the dead quiet or the living away, but the cleft itself seems designed to swallow what it holds.

Located in mixed woodland at the NW side of a cleft (dims c. 70m N-S; c. 20m E-W at N to c. 40m at S; D c. 20m) that is on the SW edge of the Dartry Mountains with a N-S stream c. 70m to the E emerging from a waterfall along the E side of the cleft. This is a rectangular area (int. dims 3m E-W; 1.2m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (Wth 0.4m; max. H 0.8m) on each side except the N where a cliff (H c. 5m) rises over it. It is known as a childrens burial ground (Faughnan 1943), but there is no evidence of grave-markers. The mass-rock (LE007-003001--) is c. 40m to the S.
