Giant's Grave

Giant's Grave at Commons is a double court tomb where two stone chambers face opposite directions across a narrow neck, forcing ritual participants to walk through death rather than stand before it. The southeast gallery stretches seven metres into two rooms while the shorter northwest passage holds one chamber, creating an asymmetrical vessel for memories and marrow. Neolithic hands built this balanced paradox around 4000 to 2500 BC, then ordinary farmland swallowed much of its certainty. People may have entered from either horizon, carried what needed carrying, and left the grave holding both ends of the journey.
