What is recorded here
Ennistimon children's burial ground stands at the top of a hill beside the Church of Ireland graveyard, holding unbaptized children according to local information. A priest blessed the area in the 1950s, giving formal recognition to what the town already understood. The children remain invisible beneath the ground, yet their presence shapes the place because love and loss do not require marble to be remembered.
Situated at the top of a hill within Ennistymon town, c. 45m N of the wall surrounding a Church of Ireland church and graveyard (CL015-103001- and CL015-103002-). According to local information this is the location of a burial ground for unbaptized children and the area is known to have been blessed by a priest in the 1950’s on this account. Not visible at ground level.
