Caltraghlea holds a marshy ringfort where uncut limestone blocks still break through moss, suggesting children were laid to rest beneath the wet earth. The name itself whispers that small bodies belonged there before written records appeared. You can picture parents carrying tiny weights through rain, placing them quickly beside the fort wall while neighbours watched in silence. The stones never received markers because love there did not need display.

Within a ringfort (GA074-017----). Unenclosed irregularly shaped marshy area within which are numerous moss-covered stones, haphazardly arranged. A few, clear of overgrowth, appear to consist of uncut limestone blocks. The siting, along with the td. name 'Caltraghlea', suggests that it may be a CBG.
