What is recorded here

Cahernabrock holds a children's burial ground, a rare admission that the landscape recorded loss instead of pretending it away. The fact that the place exists at all suggests parents once carried small bodies through rain or dirt and laid them beneath open sky. Nothing flashy marks the act. The land simply remembers the weight of what was placed in it.
