The site is a rectangular platform 22.2m north-south and 26.7m east-west enclosed by a collapsed stone wall. It is very overgrown in marshy pasture. The name 'Children's Burial Ground' appears on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. Whether it marked a real burial place or a local warning is no longer clear.
