In the SE quadrant of a cashel (CL016-052001-). Named ‘cave’ on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. Described by O'Donovan in 1830 as open but inaccessible ‘on account of the narrowness of the passage’ (Comber 1997, 15). Described by Westropp (1900, 407) as 'closed'. The entrance (H 1m; Wth 0.6m) to the Man-made underground passage is visible inside the wall of the cashel c. 8m from the centre. It is blocked up with old timbers.
