In a cashel (SL046-034001-). A low lintelled opening in the internal face of the cashel wall at W opens into a short E-W passage (L 2m) that turns to S into a slightly broader passage (Wth 0.8m; H 1.2m). It continues through the body of the wall, following its curve for c. 8-10m to SSW. At this point the passage turns to N and is marked by a slight constriction and drop in level via a rough stone step (H 0.45m). The passage (H 1.3m) then continues for c. 4m to N as a subterranean passage beneath the cashel interior ending in a flight of steps rising to an opening (2m N-S; max. 0.8m E-W) in the interior surface (in the SW quadrant). Another Man-made underground passage (SL046-034003-) is 5.5m NNW of this Man-made underground passage opening.
