Cave

On the lower W-facing slope of a rise. A collapsed opening occurs at the W end of a rectangular chamber (Wth 1.7m N-S; L 5.8m E-W) with a collapsed creepway at the N end of the E side. A second creepway (L c. 2m; Wth 0.6m) at the W end of the S side of chamber 1 leads into chamber 2 (L c. 10m N-S; Wth 2m E-W). A recess is at the S end of the W side of chamber 2. Both chambers are drystone-built and are corbelled to take roof-slabs. Both chambers are high enough for an adult to stand up in, chamber 1 being at least 1.84m H and chamber 2 at least 1.7m (pers. comm. M. A. Timoney). A church and graveyard (SL032-195001-; SL032-195002-) lie c. 50m to NE, in the adjoining field.
