What is recorded here

No visible surface trace marks the Cave in County Cork, yet it hides a complete early medieval kitchen sixty metres from a burial ground. Coleman excavated bird bones, fish shells, charcoal and worked stone in 1942, proving people cooked, crafted and lived there rather than merely passing through. The limestone chamber still holds that ordinary defiance: death kept company with dinner, and memory resisted forgetting.
