Cave in Carhan Upper, passage in County Kerry

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

What is recorded here

There is no visible trace of the 'Cave' marked in this quadrant of the site on the OS maps. It was noted by Henry as a Man-made underground passage (KE079-053001-), located at the SW side of the hut (1957, 74). Cork University Press (1996), no. 480.
