Causeway

What is recorded here

Marked as a causeway (L c. 200m) running NE-SW across the narrowest portion Corkip Lough on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This is a gravelled lane slightly higher than the surrounding ground, which runs SW-NE towards the bog but cannot be traced through it. There is no reason to think it is ancient. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
