Catholic Church (in Ruins)

Remains of church (int. L 13.15m E-W; Int. Wth 4m N-S; wall thickness 0.65m) on W side Kilhassen Burial Ground (CO110-04701). Indicated on O.S.map (1842) as Chapel (in ruins). W gable church built into W bank burial grounds; stone in gable inscribed 1680. Max. ext. H N and S walls 1.2m; E wall does not survive. Interior level of church c. D 0.4m below external ground level. Stone built altar and seat to w; pair of wall presses in NW corner. (Ó Riordain (1931, 3) refers to ope in N and S wall.
