Castlemilk Community Fire Station

A red fire station stands at 69 Raithburn Avenue, a rare survivor in a city that has swallowed most of its working stations. It is not a museum behind glass but a living room for the neighbourhood, where children press buttons, adults remember smoke, and volunteers keep the ladders oiled. The building does not display trophies; it displays continuity.
