Castle is a castle in Whitfield North, County Waterford, Ireland, recorded in the mid-seventeenth century but never clearly located. The Down Survey showed a disrepair castle near the Ballymoat stream, while the Civil Survey named Peter Dobbin as owner in 1640. Its absence is not a mistake; it is an invitation to imagine the room, yard and doorway that the names still point toward.

A castle in disrepair is recorded on the terrier of the Down Survey map of Lisnakill parish (1655-6) at Whitfieldstown, and it is marked on the Down Survey map at the N end of the townland, close to the S-N Ballymoat stream. A ruined castle at Whitesfields town, owned by Peter Dobbin of Waterford city in 1640, is recorded in the Civil Survey (1654-6) (Simington 1942, 140). It remains unlocated. Simington, R. C. (ed.) The castle at Whitfieldstown was likely built in the 17th century, possibly by a local Gaelic or Anglo-Irish landholding family. It is remembered primarily through its appearance on the Down Survey maps of 1655–56, which document early modern landownership and settlement patterns in Ireland.
