Rathnageeragh is an unclassified castle whose location has been lost, though Sir Caesar Colclough of Tintern held it with 240 acres in 1641. The decayed walls and surrounding fields vanished from human memory, leaving behind an empty promise of stone and shadow. What remains is a ghost of ownership, a castle that exists only in the absence of its own shape.
