What is recorded here
Taylor's Map of County Kildare (1783) marked the place Ca. Rs., yet later surveying dropped it entirely. The castle may have been small, ruined or forgotten before measurement arrived. Mylerstown keeps the absence as much as the name.
Shown in this general area on Taylor's Map of County Kildare (1783) where it is marked 'Ca. Rs.', but not recorded on the OS 6-inch mapping. The precise location of the monument has not been determined.
