What is recorded here
Moyhullin Castle stands unclassified in County Clare, denied the usual labels of tower-house or hall. That vacuum suggests a building so unusual it resisted every categorical strap. Perhaps it was a private madness, a room without a master or a staircase that climbed into cloud. The absence of a name may be the point: some structures refuse to be known.
