Rath Castle stands as a ruined tower house in County Clare, Ireland. Its broken walls mark a forgotten era of local power. The remains invite imagination about the lives once lived inside its stones.

Rath Castle was built in the late 16th or early 17th century by a member of the O'Donovan family, a prominent Gaelic Irish clan in the region. It is remembered as an example of early Irish tower house architecture and for its historical association with the local Gaelic aristocracy during the period of English expansion in Munster.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
