What is recorded here

In 1656, a small tower stood in Kilmacsimon, but it has since vanished without a trace. The Down Survey captured its shadow before memory failed, leaving behind a ghost that never even got a name. It is the kind of place that refuses to be remembered, slipping through the fingers of history like water.

A small tower is depicted on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map in the townland of Kilmacsimon.
