Four-span road bridge, built c.1780, spanning tributary. Square-headed arches having dressed limestone lintels springing from rubble stone piers with round-headed cutwaters to south-west elevation. Slightly battered rubble stone abutments with later rubble stone parapet walls having rendered coping and square-headed drain openings to road level. Rubble stone faced embankment to west bank of south-west elevation. Second later perpendicular bridge to north comprising of square-headed arch with rendered lintels, soffit and piers. Recent mass concrete, spandrels and abutments with recent rubble stone parapet walls having rendered coping.

This is an unusual early road bridge constructed using stone lintels placed over piers. Finely executed round-headed cutwaters and dressed stone lintels add to its character. A natural stone base provided a suitable foundation on which the bridge could be constructed and most likely made a significant impact upon the construction costs.
