What is recorded here
Castle, unclassified in Graigueadrisly, County Laois, Ireland. An unlocated castle within the townland, marked only on the Down Survey map of 1654-7. It may have stood as a small stone marker of power, or vanished entirely before the surveyors arrived. Either way, the castle resisted explanation and left behind a hole in the story.
Unlocated castle within townland that is indicated on Down Survey (1654-7) map (NLI, MS 720).
