What is recorded here
Decies, County Waterford, Ireland. A ruin on Gracedieu Road was called the Brass Castle within living memory. The name suggests something bright and expensive, perhaps a chamber where light struck copper or gold. The castle has vanished from the land, leaving behind a name that refuses to explain itself.
A ruin which stood on Gracedieu Road was known within living memory as the 'Brass Castle', (Decies, Autumn 1985). It remains unlocated and unknown.
