Redwood Castle belonged to the Forth family during the 17th century, but farm sheds and a silage pit now occupy its site. The castle has vanished beneath ordinary countryside, leaving behind only a name and a buried shape. What remains is a reminder that grand houses can disappear without ceremony, replaced by tools for feeding cattle rather than people.
