Castle, tower house in Silliothill (kildare Ed) stands in County Kildare, Ireland. The Down Survey recorded a tower house-like structure to W of centre in the townland during 1655-6, yet later mapping dropped it and nobody has found it since. It may still hide beneath grass, roadworks or forgotten fields, waiting for someone to stop looking for a castle and start listening for the shape of the hole it left behind.
