Castle, ringwork and bailey in Bullockpark stands in pasture on a gentle south-facing slope, its earthworks still marking a defended place long after people stopped naming it. Horses have poached the monument, yet the inner bank, fosse, outer bank and semi-circular bailey remain clear enough to walk around and imagine: a small stronghold where life moved quickly between danger and routine. The nearby enclosures suggest this was not a lonely experiment but part of a lived landscape, perhaps farmed, hunted, contested or remembered by families whose names never reached us.

In pasture, on a gentle S facing slope. Raised earthen enclosure (dims. 23m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by earthen bank (Wth 9.95m; int H 0.8m; ext H 2.9m). Entrance (Wth 8.75m) at S. Intervening fosse (Wth 8.85m; D 1.35m) SSW-N-SSE. Outer bank (Wth 12.95; int H 2.15m; ext H 1.95) SSW-N-SSE and opens out into a bailey (dims. 24m N-S; 15m E-W) which is semi-circular in shape. Interior has slight tilt downslope to S. Monument deeply poached by horses. Enclosures (TS069-020---- and TS069-011001-) located 370m to ESE and 440m to W respectively.
