Castle, motte in Dromin stands on a high wide E-W ridge in County Louth, Ireland. Its flat-topped mound rises 5.5m above a 24-28m base, with a barely visible fosse and a scarped side worn by cattle tracks. Dromin church sits just to the ESE, anchoring the ridge in human memory. The mound may have watched herds, marked territory or hidden a home before records began.

Situated on a high wide E-W ridge and consisting of a sub-circular flat-topped mound (H 5.5m, diam. at base 24-28m, at top c. 15m) with slight traces of a fosse (max. Wth at NW 8.3m, D 0.5m) hardly discernible except at W. From NW to SW the side of the mound has been scarped and disturbed through use as a cattle track which gives access to the summit. Dromin church (LH018-014001-) is situated just to the ESE.
