Annagharvey graveyard still holds a flat-topped oval mound, thirty metres across at its base and delimited by a shallow fosse. It may have been a castle motte, but no bailey remains, only a quarried west edge and a steep north face beneath the graves. Whatever stood there has been reduced to a low ridge in the rain-softened earth, perhaps marking a boundary, a warning, or a forgotten home.

Oval-shaped flat-topped mound (max H 3.50m, max W at top N-S c. 20m, 14mE-W, max basal dims N-S c. 31m, E-W c. 25m) situated in low lying area in N sector of graveyard and delimited by a wide shallow fosse. Steep sided at N and quarried at W side. Possible motte. Poorly preserved low square shaped motte (H 3.5m; top diam 14 - 20m; base diam 30m) located in the N sector of Annagharvey graveyard (OF018-017001-) enclosed by a wide flat bottomed fosse with no evidence of a bailey.
