CASTLE in Deer Park

CASTLE

What is recorded here

Deer Park still holds the buried bones of a castle no one has named. Stone and timber vanished beneath grass and rain, leaving only a hidden shape in County Fermanagh. Whatever room or guard tower stood there, the land kept the secret while people forgot the name.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CASTLE. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
