Freestanding limestone gable-fronted mausoleum, built c. 1880, bounded by cast-iron railings. Pitched stone-flagged roof with cut limestone cross finial, pediment with moulded cornice and antefixae to corners. Cut limestone walls. Square-headed door opening with moulded limestone surround flanked by pilasters, having ornate wrought-iron gate.
This limestone mausoleum of the Kirby family, is well designed in a solemn classical style. Ornamentation is restricted to the finely carved features such as the antefixae, the cross finial and the initials to the pediment.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
