Castle Fogarty stands as a gaunt ruin in County Tipperary, its limestone towers stripped of roofs but still clinging to the earth with crenellations and buttresses. The structure began as a Georgian country house around 1730, transformed into a Gothic Revival fantasy during an 1800 rebuilding, and finally broken by fire in 1922. One tower survived the flames and was restored, preserving a coat of arms and Irish motto that hint at the pride of its lost owners. The empty chambers and broken windows suggest a household that once thrived before disappearing into the fog of time.
